Right now, there is an enlightenment going on in the school systems where the bad will get replaced with the new. The bad consist of teachers, principles, staff, and even the school itself. These schools have been getting off the hook for getting a “F” on the Department of education's standards and have not been scheduling old schools to close for hopefully new and improved schools. The schools will also be replacing some teachers and principles where ever necessary to be able to fix the error in the school. But some schools got a second chance to live on: “I don’t think that we would argue or anyone would argue that merely getting an ‘F’ on a report card is reason to lose your job,” he said. “We went about this in a very careful, responsible and fair way.” This new approach on the school systems will improve grades and hopefully more students to get into college.
I think that this is a really good idea, due to experience. I dealt with two schools that really did not try very hard to get their students to try hard. The school principles and some teachers were eventually replaced, but what good was that to the students when they don't get as much out of school as they need. So when I saw this article, it reminded me of the motto that high tech high is doing, but they are not going to the extreme like we did (as to transfer to a charter school).

JAKEE!!!
I completely agree what you stated about the article because I have also dealt with the same experience. What strikes me is that the world and government are trying so hard to get students to succeed, but sometimes they approach that in the wrong matter. By firing teachers and presidents just because someone got an “F”. Because usually in the classrooms it’s the faults of the students who just don’t care, not always the teacher. If the grades were consisted and with multiple students then the teacher failed to teach.
