Lame duck mess ups

In class we are learning about Marbury Vs. Madison. Marbury Vs. Madison was a very famous case between Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. Thomas Jefferson defeated John Adams in the case between the "Midnight Judjes" where John Adams, in his lame duck period, appointed new judges to continue his views in the office as he was being taken over. In fact this is a very old case, but yet this is still happening today. Presidents usually enter their lame duck period when they know that they are going to leave office. In this matter, the two conflicting presidents did not share views; in which John Adams appointed numerous new judges in fear that this new president would not succeed as well as he did in able to fill up the slots (as to when the president does come back to office, they can't pick their replacements under their views. This might not always be "judges" per say, but they might release people from prison with pardons. Usually they try reap the benefits of their ridiculous government salary at the end because he is not coming back to office ever again. So why 1803 they banned such a thing, but in 1900's they still have stuff like this still happening.

Blog changes...

The "McCain speaking to the Federalist Society" blog I did earlier had a few errors in it. Such as the big statment of "There is no big anti-federalist party running in the campaign mainly because the role of president is a federalist position.". The statment is true to some degree, but I found out that the Ron Paul actually was a redical anti-federalist running for president for quite some time. Ron Paul is a big contributer to the anti federalist society. His views on government was that he really likes state and local law enforcement, but he does not like the contibution that the federal government has on the smaller parts of the government. He insn't entirely anti-federalist (nor is anyone completly federalist since that would be taling too much power from the people wich is against the constitution), but he is very well an "Anti-Federalist" that ran for president. I am sorry that I made that mistake, but it thus prooves furthur that I am human and that people should use multiple sources.

Blogicon hangover...

Alright, "blogicon" is now over. It was a two hour long event involving a table showing off their most proud work. During the presentation, the audience (which also included some freshmen) would right down some things they noticed about the blog. I showed my blog "Lehman" and how it was going under and why I shared it to the crowd. The reason I was most excited about my blogs was that I got it done on time. That usually should not be a big thing (heck it is expected by the teacher), but everyone in the class said the same thing as well, they were happy that they got the blogs done on time. So besides that, I am most proud of is that I actually enjoyed writing about the subject. For an example, last year we had to write several report on subjects that we might not enjoy so well. But this time we had some space that Randy left for us to be able to write a blog that we will actually enjoy writing about. And the new first anual PAPER PLATE AWARD!!! My crazy plate is:

The one thing I will fix for next blog is the picture to text ratio. So that the reader does not get BOMBARDED with my crazy text. OBVIOUSLY reading text does not make a person want to read an artice ("hmmm... this article has alot of text, I think I might read it") nobody does that... none the less any teenager in my class. So I have improved my ratio to TWO pictures (dos in spanish and zwei in German)!!!! I know, such great improvment. And also, I want to change one of my posts; the anti-federalist president one. Which obviously there is John Paul (which is an anti-federalist) that was trying to run for president.

Palin, ignorance is not bliss

Indeed, ignorance is not bliss, especially if you are at this type of job. September 12 in Alaska, Palin claimed that Alaska made 20% of United States energy. FactCheck.org says differently,after they looked it up it was actually wrong. Although Alaska did produce 14% of US' oil, they only 3.5%!!! That would mean that he overstated his claim 5.7 times over!

Indeed, no one is perfect, but when a vice presidential candidate tries to lie through a conversation, it gives a very bad impression to their voters (Especially when he lies about his own achievements).

Lehman

Today in the stock market in the US, we are experiencing a drop in many companies including Lehman. For today, I will focus on Lehman. Unfortunately, Lehman was forced into bankruptcy as their stocks plummeted into -94.25%! At 06:35 GMT, Monday, the company was stretched as reporters captured Lehman workers leaving the building, as they could not say wither they their company was going down. One laid off person announced that inside people were “drinking beer and smoking”. Later that day, it was announced that they did file for bankruptcy. As the other solid role models are starting to sink into hole, it is hard to say what will happen since this is the first that this has ever happened in American history. With Bush’s plans of us being able to recover from this financial change, all we can do is wait to see what will happen to the stock market. With something this big, we will have global backlashes happening in other counties all over the world, in which we only are beginning to see. What will happen is unknown since we have never had something like this happen before, but a combination of government help, housing help especially, and other stock help we can probably see some significant increase on the market.

9-11 speech wrapup

Nation remembers 9/11 victims, heroes, The mystery of the 9-11 car bombings.

Today, president bush, McCain and a lot of others gave a speech at the pentagon memorial on the terrorist attacks. Today, 9-11, was the tragic day that many Americans lost their lives as the natural rights of America was stripped away. Safe havens, were all of a sudden no longer safe havens; they have fallen. Since the car bombings have been cited the suspicion arose around Arabic's and the terrorist attacks on the world trade center. The fist car bombing was found that a van with a mural of an RC plane crashing into New York city was stopped with two Arabics were running out. This then led to the war in Iraq. Also today they are planning to reveile pillers for people to sign their names to go up on the new 9-11 memorial. This new memorial and the pentagon memorial were made to increase the pursuit of happiness for the decided loved ones. Even though this is not the only day that they mourn for their dead, this is the one year mark, and why not show how muched you cared, for such little the terrorists showed them.

While looking at today’s cnn news, I found out at the bigger aspect of politics. What would that be? In my class, wears studying about the federalist parties and the anti-federalist parties in the early USA. There were the main points of John Luck and Tomas Hobbs, John Luck being the federalist and Tomas Hobbs being the anti-federalist. We see the Federalist Party in the election very clearly, but where is the anti-federalist party? There is no big anti-federalist party running in the campaign mainly because the role of president is a federalist position. Don’t get me wrong, people running for president can be leaning more towards the anti-federalist party, but if an anti federalist signs up to be president, they are breaking their own party rule by signing up for being a president and governing over millions of people. That leaves very few options for the anti-federalist party since destabilizing the government would essentially be rejecting the constitution that made this land. Going against the constitution would also be treason against the US. So freedom of speech, essentially is limited in this aspect! As well as the presidential campaign blocking out a particular party.
